Supernatural Hints and Tips

  • Our recipes give you the maximum ppms to use.  Remember, with Supernatural, less may be more. 400 ppm total dissolved solids will give excellent results with no risks of burning. Ppm’s can be higher if using CO2.

  • Our foods are made using the highest quality source salts and the very latest high tech processing, including turbo milling. Powders are more like a dust and dissolve very rapidly. Do not concentrate them, draw the amount of water you need for your nutrient and drop the necessary one part food in to obtain the needed ppm. Concentrating may ruin its PH smart capability.

  • Mix your food strength according to the ppms in your existing water.  (If your water measures 200ppm add the food to get to your required ppms)

  • If you are using additives (Bud Blaster, Ultimate Thrive) add these to your food to make the total ppms combined (according to your recipe).

  • SuperBoost is not an additive; it is the final food for advanced ripening. Do not add it to the Bloom! Flush, Leach and refill with SuperBoost, then add Bud Blaster in the final stage.

  • Our PH smart technology gives the plant the proper PH for the grow cycle it is in (for up to two weeks of nutrient use in a reservoir). Trying to adjust it will generally only cause problems. (Hide your PH meter in a hard to find place)

  • Changing the nutrient more often will give better results. (plants don’t like stale food either) Once a week is better than every two weeks. Very highest performance would be every 3 to 5 days.

  • If using Coco Fiber as a small transplant only, you can use the terra powders.  If using Coco Fiber as your growing medium, use Aqua powders as they contain more calcium.  Coco Fiber is an inert growing medium and contains no calcium.

  • Many growers still do not understand the necessity of proper leaching. For far healthier problem free plants and better tasting fruit, use Superleach every two weeks!

  • Excellofizz works best in a room with limited ventilation. Start Excellofizz one hour after the lights come on so as not to hinder opening of the stomata.

  • Powder Foods:  In hydroponics, use Aqua Foods only!  In soil, if you run out of Terra Powders you can use the Aquas, for a short time.

  • Nitrogen is higher and phosphorus is lower in the Aqua Powders for two main reasons.  In hydroponics the growing medium has to be buffered more and this is accomplished by the amount of calcium in the form of calcium nitrate.  Nitrogen and Phosphorus are insoluble in water at a certain concentration level, and a certain amount of the proper calcium must be in there.  Since the feeding intervals are more frequent, as much phosphorus is readily available as the plant needs it, more importantly it is buffered and available to the plant.

  • Start Excellofizz one hour after the lights come on so as not to hinder opening of the stomata.

  • Optimum room temperature is 70-76 degrees.

  • Optimum humidity levels should be about 60% although if you have cuttings or are in the vegetative stage you can have your humidity higher.

  • The best time to feed your plants is one hour after they awaken.  Their stomata are open and your plants will draw up nutrients during the light cycle. If using Supernatural Grow Bags, then flood one hour before the lights and again later on in the day.

  • Everyone has their own methods of doing things, use what is best for you, and what you know.
